Compass wire cloth unveils non-blinding aggregate screens

Separation, sifting, and screening solutions company Compass Wire Cloth has unveiled its non-blinding aggregate screens, designed to enhance mining efficiency. Screen blinding can cause downtime in mining when screen mesh openings become blocked or clogged by the material being screened.

The non-blinding aggregate screens feature advanced self-cleaning technology, each wire vibrates independently to prevent blinding pegging. This makes the wires capable of handling wet or sticky materials.

The wires are built from stainless steel or high-carbon steel and are designed to withstand harsh mining environments and have a long service life. The non-blinding screens offer accurate screening and sizing due to a high percentage of open area compared to square openings. This results in an increase in throughput.

Cost savings can be made through reduced maintenance needs. The single-panel design needs less frequent changes, which are quicker to complete. This minimises downtime and labour costs.

The screen's ability to maintain consistent performance helps improve product quality whilst also reducing material waste. Suitability for a variety of applications is made possible by the versatility of the screens.

Screens are adaptable to all OEM equipment and are compatible with mobile and static plants. Three distinct styles are available which can be customised to meet operational needs. This gives a high performance across a diverse range of mining processes.
